GLAAM members elect the chapter's officers, area representatives, and members-at-large. Elections are run by the Elections Committee.

What gets elected
- Executive officers — Chair (Local Secretary), Executive Vice-Chair, Administrative Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer
- Area representatives — a Secretary and a Delegate for each of the six areas
- Members-at-large — additional board seats
